Nearly 500 kilometres of gravel. Endless horizons, quiet forests and determined riders chasing a finish line that rewards grit more than speed.

As the official event photographer for Likaanen Lakeus 2026, my role was to preserve the adventure as it unfolded—capturing every participant, every fleeting moment and every story hidden between the dust and the miles. Together, these images became more than documentation; they became lasting memories for the riders and a visual narrative of one of Finland's most demanding gravel cycling events.

From sunrise to late-night finishes, my focus was on telling the story of every participant. Whether riding at the front of the field or pushing through the final kilometres long after dark, every cyclist deserved to have their effort remembered. The result is a documentary-style collection of images that celebrates both the scale of the event and the personal achievements behind every finish.
